About our Program: Liberty Jr. Cheer is a community based program run entirely by volunteers. Our coaches take a very fundamental approach to cheerleading and its application to life (respectful behavior, being a role model in society, being a team player, etc). Our program also encourages discipline, self-confidence, integrity and good health. Liberty Jr. Cheerleaders will learn to demonstrate an exceptionally high work ethic both on and off the playing field. Our Cheerleaders will have sincere loyalty to the program as well as their squad members, they will demonstrate dedication and respect through their behavior and attitude.
Welcome to Liberty Jr. Cheer
Our Season: Our Season begins the last week in July with “Spirit Week” this is an activity filled week where the Cheerleaders meet their coaches and team mates. The week ends with our two day spirit camp held July 29th and 30th at Impact Athletics, where the Cheerleaders will learn stunting, dance and teamwork. The first week of August is dead week. We observe this along with Liberty Youth Football and all of Oregon High Schools. This gives families an opportunity to take a break between sports, take a vacation and spend time together. Practices are held Tuesdays and Thursday beginning August 9th and ending October 27th. Practices are held from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Lenox Elementary School. Game days are Saturdays beginning September 10th and usually run for 8 weeks, depending on playoffs. * We also offer tumbling classes on Wednesday evenings through Impact Athletics. We encourage all those that are able to, to join our team class in order to build their tumbling skills, improve balance and flexibility for stunting.
Our 2011 Season has ended. We are so proud of all our girls. We look forward to seeing them all back next year and welcome all newcomers to our program. Registration opens in April. Not sure if Cheer is for you? Join us for one of our mini clinics to get a taste of what we do. We will be holding 3 mini clinics beginning in March. (dates and times to be announced)
